Miley Cyrus recently covered Poison’s song "Every Rose Has Its Thorn.” Check out what Poison’s front man Bret Michaels had to say about Miley’s rendition:
“She nailed the song. She really knew what she was doing. She got in there and picked the guitar up. It was one of those nights that just worked. It was fun. It’s gotta be her taking ‘Every Rose’ and making it all hers.”

Miley Cyrus has something to get off her chest - she'd like us all to know that she was severely misquoted in the Irish Central piece in which the writer claimed she looked down on Madonna and Angelina Jolie for putting their kids in the spotlight.
Miley took to her blog at MileyWorld to write: “I don’t know why people love to misquote me but they do. So when I said ‘children have no say in the matter’ with their pictures being taken I am talking about when psycho paparazzi who follow people around and take pictures of their little ones!”
She continued, “I NEVER said ANYTHING about Madonna or Jolie doing a photo shoot with their kids! That isn’t taking them to the playground or for a walk and having a bunch of creepy men flash cameras in their face! Kids should be able to go out in to the world and enjoy it and really live in it. Those photographers take a lot away from their childhood! It is unfair and should not be allowed.”
Whoops, Irish Central! Better get your facts straight, 'cause Miss Miley won't stand for any misquoting!

A few of The Disney Channel's most popular young stars--including Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers, and Selena Gomez--were victims on Friday of a Youtube hack that led to their pages spelling out offensive messages. When you visited each person's respective page, you received one letter of an obscene phrase. In total eight pages were hacked; Miley's was not connected to the others directly, and instead was left simply with a comment resulting from controversy involving a past picture of the "Hannah Montana" star that offended many Asian-Americans.
While many of these young stars use these sorts of websites as a means to communicate with their fans, it also leads them to be vulnerable to these sorts of hacks. The pages have all since been restored without any problems.

American singer, songwriter, and actress Miley Cyrus has recorded a cover version of Poison's '80s rock ballad "Every Rose Has Its Thorn". The track was recorded in New York and features a guest appearance by Poison singer Bret Michaels, who worked in the studio with Miley.
In a posting on her official web site, Miley writes about the collaboration, "'Every Rose' is a classic and one of my favorites.
"Bret Michaels and Poison was my very first concert and introduced me to rock and roll.
"I recently heard the song play and everyone around me starting singing along. It's a song that everyone knows and loves.
"I feel like the way the music industry is today really shelters kids and they aren't exposed to songs as honest and real as this one.
"Bret and I had a great time in the studio together just hanging out and making music. It was so surreal to have him sit down with his acoustic guitar and walk me through 'Every Rose' and then give me the opportunity to add my own flare and edge to it.
"Bret is so passionate about music and it shows.
"I think it is such a rad collaboration because it shows that two artists that seem so different on the outside can come together and organically create something that we are both proud of.
"I look forward to finishing the song in L.A. with Bret and John Shanks, who is producing."
Cyrus, 17, is best known for starring as the title character in the Disney Channel series "Hannah Montana".
Cyrus's solo music career began with the release of her debut album, "Meet Miley Cyrus", on June 23, 2007, which included her first top ten single, "See You Again". She has sold more than fourteen million albums worldwide.

Disqualified because it wasn't penned expressly for a movie, "The Climb," a song from the top-grossing Miley Cyrus vehicle "Hannah Montana: The Movie," has been withdrawn from competition in the 52nd annual Grammy Awards.
The tune, composed by Jessi Alexander and Jon Mabe, had been nominated for song written for motion picture, television or other media, a writer's award. It has been replaced in the category by "All Is Love," a number from Spike Jonze's "Where the Wild Things Are." Song was written by Karen O and Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and performed in the feature by Karen O & the Kids.
The Recording Academy explained the move in a statement: "(Soundtrack label) Walt Disney Records was proactive and forthcoming to our awards department and verified that the song was not written specifically for the film "Hannah Montana: The Movie" (as eligibility rules state).
"Based on this information, the Academy has complied with the label's request. Per our process in this circumstance, the Academy has pulled up the next eligible song in this category."
